    Death Valley next Week

I would say Titus Canyon is a must do in Death Valley. I had the most amazing drive down through there. The start of the drive is actually outside of the canyon to the East, and it ends up in Death Valley itself. See a drive description (not mine) here...

    wip lineup

Bulldog, that one photo of you in a canyon, is that coming into Death Valley? Looks very similar to a canyon on the eastern side of the valley that is an awesome drive. Anyway, here is my baby...

New tires caused me to hydroplane? 4runner totalled and going to court. Need advice

I would consult with a lawyer about the ticket alone. Let go of the suing the tire store bit. The laywer may cost you a few hundred bucks, but it will be worth it when you get out of the ticket. In my experience almost any time you bring a lawyer to traffic court on an iffy ticket, you will...

Question: How do you go about doin donuts with the traction control? Whenever I try to step out the back end I get the lovely beeping from the dash, and the brakes pumping on me...

    Stock Dueler H/T vs Revo???

You are totally right TechWrench, the site I was looking at had the wrong image for the Revo (either that or I just got them confused, nah). Now that I look at tirerack.com, it becomes obvious. I must say though, that I'm not all that eager to put new rubber on yet, the stock tires have been...

    Moab/Arches National Park

Lots of sand, the stock tires had no problem! I was able to get up a soft sand hill that the park service says is 'impassible' without any trouble. I'll be here for another couple of weeks if anyone wants to get together for a couple of trails...

    Moab/Arches National Park

Although I did grind the heck out of my tow hitch coming down a few places. Anyone know if you could cause a lot of damage by hitting that hitch?

    Moab/Arches National Park

the trail is supposed to be tough for stock SUV's, but the 4Runner didn't even blink!

    Moab/Arches National Park

I have been in Moab for 3 days now, and have already been on some of the most fun/challenging trips I could imagine in a stock 4Runner thanks to Charles Wells' Guide to Moab. I must say his books are well written and so far extremely accurate. The only problem is it makes me want to spend 10k...

    Stock Dueler H/T vs Revo???

Sorry if this has been covered, but I couldn't find it anywhere. is there a big difference between the stock Dueler H/T and a Revo? As far as I can tell, the tread pattern looks almost the same. Am I missing something, or should I just be really happy my Runner came with such great stock...

    Have I become a 4Runner snob?!

I have it full bore. I'm really, REALLY happy I didn't buy the Pilot that I was thinking about. It was the last 2004 on the lot, 3 days before the end of the year, the thing had every option available, and they would have let it go for something like 11K under MSRP. I was sold, but wanted to...

    1 Month, 4500 Miles

Thanks Jake, but I am pretty sure I'm going to pick up sliders. No sense bashing and replacing running boards all the time. If I don't get em, I will drop you an email. How could you not? Really, this is at least half of what I bought her for. I wear the crunched running board and other...

Anything wrong with taking a trip w/ new Runner?

Souind advice above, no worries on the trip, just take those precautions during the break in period. I started a 4000 mile trip when my car had 350 miles on it... No problems so far!
