Can you post a picture of your UCAs? 8 months is typically really not normal for a bushing fail unless there are other problems. Did you install the additional washers on the inside of the bushings?

5100 are a good low budget option but those 6112 with the larger bore... those are super nice! Incredible difference in handling on road and off. Best bet would be to find somebody that is selling their used set of Bilstein 6112 !!!! *Shameless plug* I have a set that i'm not using anymore...

Our 4th gens don't have factory recovery points. If you're referring to the little metal rings up front, those are for the purpose of securing to shipping containers when they get shipped over from Japan. Tie down points. I've seen many break when used for recovery.
