Air in system during PSF drain/fill

Thanks for the reassurance. Drove around the bock 2 more times after work today, reservoir only dropped a few millimeters each time. Just filled back to the appropriate level each time, with no further drop and no whine after the 2nd time. Glad I didn't make this mistake with my brake fluid...

Air in system during PSF drain/fill

So I drained and filled the PSF on my 2018 for the first time (67k miles). Should have been super easy by jacking up front end with tires barely off the ground, plugging the return intake, putting return drain line into a container, then moving steering wheel side to side with key in the on...

    Icon UCA bushings need replacement?

Hey all. I have an Icon stage 2 setup with 50k miles on it. Haven't had to do anything to it other than grease the zerks, which I did today and noticed the bushings on one of the UCAs looked very warped compared to the other side. Any recommendations? Should I just order the replacement...

FS: TRD Off Road wheels and KO2 265/70/17 tires; Los Angeles CA, $700

Original TRD Off Road wheels from my 2018 4runner with stock size (265/70/17) KO2 tires that have 40k miles on them. They were manufactured in late 2017. They likely have a good 15k miles left on them from the tread depth remaining. There are only a couple small blemishes on the wheels as seen...

Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers set of 4; $150; Los Angeles

I have a set of Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers for sale with only 3k miles on them. They worked flawlessly while mounted. I upgraded to a set of Race Relations Wheels with negative offset on larger tires and no longer need them. I am missing one of the nuts in this photo, but have a set of 6...

Skinny tires vs standard 33s: went with 285/70/17 KO2s

Thought this might be of use for someone going down their own tire rabbit hole right now. First, I have an Icon stage 2 lift with the viper cut and don't mind doing a body mount chop if needed. I've also been running stock size KO2s for 40k miles with an excellent experience, except for...

ORP front valance silver - Los Angeles

Installed an SSO Slimline front bumper, so valance is not needed. Has a few small scratches as seen here. I live in Silverlake area, and work in Santa Monica for pick up. Matthew

    Issues after lifting?

As the KDSS is much more involved in the overall suspension of the vehicle, they are making the case that it could have been the cause. I have pushed multiple times for proof that is WAS the cause, but it seems they can and will continue to deny coverage regardless of being able to prove that fact.

    Issues after lifting?

Definitely planning to be calm and polite, but more assertive than normal for me. Will also be inspecting the parts myself, talking to the mechanic, and taking a bunch of pics. When I initially asked for proof that my lift caused the issue, they always defer to the "field tech specialist" who...

    What hobbies do you have?

I work in a hospital and see a lot of suffering and death while trying to rehabilitate my patients, so my hobbies are an essential means to maintain my health and sanity. I enjoy motorcycling, trail running, hiking, camping, Olympic style weight lifting, sometimes crossfit style workouts...

    Issues after lifting?

Wish I had a shop like that here in Los Angeles! My KDSS hydraulic cylinder is apparently shot and I cannot seem to get it covered under warranty because of my 2" stage 2 Icon lift. This thread is making me think I just need to go cause a shit-storm to try and get it covered. Which is not my...

    Issues after lifting?

I've recently had a KDSS clunk diagnosed as the front driver hydraulic cylinder. I plan to go my and take a look myself before believing them, but what do you think about change in geometry and that particular part failing? I feel like that part would not be affected to the same degree as the...

    KDSS front sway bar replaced...

This is exactly why I am planning on going by tomorrow and taking a look myself. And I appreciate the suggestions on checking the bushing first. If I don't see an obvious defect in the cylinder, I might ask them to replace the bushing first and see what happens.

    KDSS front sway bar replaced...

Will take some pics tomorrow when I get back to the dealership. I can see how the bushings would be more likely to wear out with the lift, but have a harder time seeing how the hydraulic cylinder would be affected by the change in geometry. I appreciate the response!
