I had what i believe to be the same popping sound occuring from under my 99 4runner! Mine was my own fault because after buying and installing new sway bar links i didnt actually tighten one bolt down as far as i should have. Once i figured that out everything went back to normal! The front sway bar links should help you out. I recently changed mine as one of the connecting bolts stripped out after installing a lift. Biggest peice of advice is to just make sure you get the links tightened down nicely. I left one bolt to where it felt tight but wasnt really fully tightened...

I used an extra relay i had laying around and grounded it to the body and used power from the battery. Then ran it to the rocker switch from there, then off to the actual lights. Thats just what i did for my front cubes but on my led rear bumper lights i just tapped into the factory reverse...
