Well I haven't been on here much recently. Started a new job semi recently and most of my free time has been taken up. Anyways I've still been working on my pickup truck. A few months ago I finally got around to installing my dual transfer cases in the truck. Also recently installed newer Tacoma...
Its been awhile since I've update this, but I have since gone to using 17in trail ready beadlocks and 37bfgs. I recently went on a wheeling trip with a friend and managed to break the studs on my passenger side knuckle and completely destroy a trunion bearing. Anyways shes all fixed now.
Yea I got about that far and was kinda like dammit ill just ask someone. This stuff is confusing with the years. But I will kindly take you up on your offer of your old knuckles.
I recently broke the studs in my solid axle toyota (84 pickup). Looking to replace the knuckle to another factory one instead of six shooters because of cost. Are landcruiser knuckles the same and work? Or are there major differences I should know about?
If it was imported without a new title issued, itll be a PITA from what I understand. The general consensus is that you can import a vehicle to the states if it is 25 years or older and issued a new title. But because the vehicle is already in the states it may have to get "reimported." Its a...
Lil update. The old pickup got new tires and wheels over the weekend. Got some trail ready beadlocks and 37in tires. Also lifted it a lil to level it out in the rear.
If you are willing to ship, what do you want for the gas filler door to 28270? I dont need the lock, jsut the door itself thats held in with 2 screws. My hinge broke and am looking to replace it.
Well ended up building my bedrack and finishing my soft bed cover to keep things dry in case it rains. Also added rock lights and lights in the bed incase I need to look for things at night. Both are on separate switches on the dash.
LMAO yea the sunroof completely comes off. I've taken mines off a few times, but its a kinda PIA to take it off, store it, and then reattach it. You just have to press the chrome latches in when you have it tilted up and itll pop out.
Pattern doesnt look too bad. It looks a touch shallow on the drive side of the gear though. I'd run it with that pattern. Did you happen to smack your pinion at any point? A hard smack may have crushed the sleeve further jacking up your pattern. Thats one of the reasons I said to run a solid spacer.
If you're going to do it, I'd just get a solid spacer instead of using a crush s;eeve. I regeared my truck and it was pretty easy IMO. I can probably do it in an hour or two now. Easier than doing it on jeeps anyways. I wouldn't worry about driving it home in FWD. Ive done it a few times when I...
