    2006 Ltd 4X4 4.7 with bizarre behavior

Thanks for the info. Who knows - I fueled up at a fairly new BP that has usually delivered good fuel. There's a Shell across the street that's had problems with their fuel quality. *shrug*

    2006 Ltd 4X4 4.7 with bizarre behavior

Wild card: From reading the line items on the dealer service invoice today, looks like they flashed the ECM. I'm kinda annoyed the service adviser didn't mention that.

    2006 Ltd 4X4 4.7 with bizarre behavior

I had it in for an oil change at the dealership today, and they didn't find anything wrong. And they look for anything they can generate work off of. The battery tested good, and the battery connections were fine. I also talked to the service adviser, who told me about the TRAC / Engine...

    2006 Ltd 4X4 4.7 with bizarre behavior

Uhm Sorry, I may be testing some people's patience here. But I love this ride. I also don't want to end up at the dealership, being told it's a flux capacitor, or left handed transmission warp coil. And yes, my local dealership will do that to anyone. I just want to keep driving it.

    2006 Ltd 4X4 4.7 with bizarre behavior

Pondering There is this weird dealer / port installed option called a Battery Amigo on it. Not quite sure how to rip it out, but maybe that's part of the mix. If anyone has experience with that, please share. Thing is, if it's battery or electrical related, why does it still crank just fine...

    2006 Ltd 4X4 4.7 with bizarre behavior

Hrm... Interesting replies. I replaced the original battery recently, after the OEM battery got blinkey. I don't think it is the battery. It always cranks like a mule. XREAS rocks, BTW. One thing that was different: I usually never let it get below 1/2 a tank. Today, it was near 1/4...

    2006 Ltd 4X4 4.7 with bizarre behavior

2006 Sport 4X4 4.7 with bizarre behavior My usually reliable 4-Runner wigged out today, and I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience, and knew of a cause. The vehicle is a 2006 Sport 4X4 4.7, about 65k miles, and has been dealership maintained since original purchase. From a cold...

Just had the dealer do the rear brakes on an '06 Sport 4WD

Dunno... I was watching the techs work on it. They were bouncing between vehicles, so there was some multi-tasking going on. But I also noted that the original tech couldn't get the rotor off. He brought in another tech, and they still couldn't. They brought in another guy, later identified...

Just had the dealer do the rear brakes on an '06 Sport 4WD

Just sort of a field report. I had the local dealership service department service the rear brakes recently, on my '06 Sport 4WD. It took nearly 4 hours, and the proffered reason was because the rear brakes on the 4WD models were a nightmare, took additional parts kits, etc. It ended up...
