From the research I have done the tundra/tacoma/4runner/t100 front clamshell style 7.5 ifs unit is identical until the 2004 tundra. If this is the case wouldn't the axle bolt in allowing the use of the larger and wider tundra axles,spindles,control arms and suspension?

If it were me I would just keep the runner and buy a really cheap early 90's civic,corolla,prizm and use that for my commute. You should be able to pick up a fairly decent car for less than $1000 bucks. The funny thing is I bought the 4runner as my fuel saver car. LOL

You are absolutely correct, i slipped the extra 5 in there. The stock tire was the 265/70/r16

That is near impossible. The 265/75/r16 was the stock tire size even on Sr5 2wd models.

:iagree: it is highly unlikely that the block failed. I run a supercharged 1998 4runner that has 257k on it, I drive it like I stole it and have done so for the last 150k since I have owend it. The 5vz is a great motor and and I would guess that there is a bad seal somewhere.
