I looking to do more to my 4runner but from what I have been told and as I do research to prove this. Your better off getting SR5 and putting the work into it. ARB air lockers are going to be better than the stock electronic locker on the trail editions. Not to mention to lift and deal the KDSS...

The springs are doing all the lift (old man emu 885), didn't use stock springs, so the bilsteins are set to 0. and no spacer in rear. The setup I am using is slightly used off a Taco.

I agree that the 5th gen is great in the snow. I haven't had to use 4wd on the roads at all because the traction and stability control is awesome. I live in upstate NY, they do good at keeping the roads clear. Would love to take it off road in the snow but nothing good around me...
