    Exhaust modifications and tuning

I went with a 22” mangaflow and put a 90 in. Sounds good. But not as good as my 4th gen v8 with Flowmaster and all the resonators removed.

Anyone have 265 tires with a lift?

    265/70r18 with 2.5” lift wasn’t too much of a hit on mpg’s.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Installed a new battery. Went with a group 27f. Just a little mod to the tray but otherwise it just bolts right in. It was only $70 for the 27f. I had thought about a 31 or 34 but there a quite bit more $$. Plus I’m not running anything that needs that much juice.

    SOMERSET E3 Pop up ???

Funny you ask this question. I'm going to pick my somerset e3 up tomorrow. We've looked at the full range of RV's and have decided on the e3. It'll make it up into the hills. But the e3 isn't roughing it. My 5th gen will tow it no prob. I had a jayco tent trailer and I towed it with my v8 4th...

FS: 3rd gen $6k 2000 supercharged limited 4x4 Portland, OR

***SOLD*** I've decided to sell my extra 4Runner. I bought this one for the gf and she has no interest in driving it I can get her out of my Audi so I've decided to sell the t4r. It was either this one or my 5th gen. And the 5th gen won. But not by much I really enjoy this 3rd gen. So about...

Installed 4th gen rear springs on my 3rd gen.

The wheels are off a 07 sport t4r. I like the look of them. They would way better with spacers.

Installed 4th gen rear springs on my 3rd gen.

The tires are cooper at's and there 265/65r17. I don't have spacers yet. This is the set up it came with when I bought it. If I keep it I'll put 285/70's on it and put spacers on it.

Installed 4th gen rear springs on my 3rd gen.

So I got board today and I had some old stock springs from my old 04 v8 4x4 t4r. I've searched around and couldn't find any info as far as 4th gen springs being put on our 3rd gens. The only thing I found was a little bit of info on fj springs. So hell why not they just throw the rears in and...

How many metal shavings in auto trans pan = too many? '97 3.4L 186k miles

The place I had my t/c rebuilt as called superior torque converter. It's in Portland OR. I've had lots of t/c's rebuilt there and never had an issue with any of them. Most all of them Audi / vw ones this is my first Toyota one.

$2300!! And I thought I was surprised when my torque converter cost $190 to rebuild and not the $170 it used to be. The inflation lately has been crazy!!
