For me the light output is perfect. I'm not sure how to really quantify it but we have taken them on a few trips and without a fire it was perfect, not too bright, not too dim.

You just made me take a look at the write up for the v6 4runner. I'm honestly really happy I did, I'm used to water pumps being part of the timing belt, I'm way less worried when mine goes now. :reddance:
I used to go by this until I did a water pump on one of my old vehicles... everything was great until the tensioner pulley fell apart on me a month later with no warning.
$60 worth of parts can save you a lot of time and headaches down the road.
