That Insain Fab is probably one of the nicer/cleaner rear bumpers I've seen. I'm also a fan of the CBI rear bumper

Hands down, cleanest rear bumper I have EVER seen for a 4th gen. If they made something "similar" I would buy one. hands down. I think the CBI bumper is nice but its just so damn bulky... I like the reuse of the stock bumper. just my .02

I just posted my bumper from InSain to show that what a lot of people are looking for as far as the high clearance and leaving the top portion of the bumper sides is possible. However cutting your rear plastic bumper cover and your structural crossmember is more than a lot of people are comfortable doing on their own and I believe is what is holding this type of design back from being a production bumper for a lot of fabrication shops. It's definitely best to have this kind of bumper installed by the shop, which is the only way the InSain will do it. If you aren't willing to do the cutting, I believe the CBI is the best design out there. I'm sure Shrockworks would put together a nice design (I have their front bumper and really like it), but I dont see how it would be less chunky/higher clearance than CBI's without the previously mentioned cutting.

That said, if you live in Colorado or anywhere close, I'd encourage you to look at InSain. Very high quality and he will build you whatever you want. [MENTION=112497]VA4Runner09[/MENTION] is getting a bumper like mine made now with dual swingouts, dual hitches and a mount for every accessory you can imagine. I'm sure he will post pictures soon.

Problem is, people like me that live far away don't have the option of buying a bumper from him. I can't ship my DD there for him to install one, and when he won't sell a kit or production piece, it doesn't do me any good. I'd be happy to pay for a kit or production bumper that looks like that if someone would sell me one. I'm capable and willing to cut up the rear crossmember and the bumper cover, and I've got several welders I could use at work after hours. I just don't have the time to design up my own right now, so I'm willing to pay for it (if given the option).

You might try sending him a message at [email protected] and see if he will hook you up with a weld together kit. Apparently he's doing that for one of my buddy's now

If they can make one that doesn't go up all the way to the taillights, I'd be interested. Seems like everything on the market looks identical in that area, I'd much rather see something like their 5th gen bumper that reuses some of the rear bumper cover.

THIS!! That's one reason I do not like a lot of the current rear bumpers is bc they go all the way up to the tail light and I don't like how that looks at all, keep some of the rear bumper cover please.

X10000 exactly why I havn't moved forward with purchasing a rear bumper yet, All the bumpers that go up to the tail lights just don't do it for many people.

100% interested depending on price. Would like to see pricing on a basic bumper without any add ons like swing out spare tire carrier ,jerrycan carriers ect I saw someone mention a bumper with those options would be around 2K if that's the case count me out.

Just commenting... I don't need a bumper.
If you don't cut the x-member you cant tuck the receiver hitch in there, it will hang down below the bumper.
The sides of the stock bumper covers a good bit of body work, I am sure no one thought about aftermarket when these T4R were designed.

Hate to knock Shrock, I like the product.
Shrockworks is not known for its quick order fulfillment...unless something has changed.

I will jump on the wagon with absolutely not having any interest in a bumper that replaces the full rear quarter panel bumper fascia. I want low profile/high clearance, wicked strong to take a rock hit, clean, hitch integration with an option to add/remove a rear tire/accessory carrier. And- not too heavy.
Too much to ask? maybe, but thats what its gonna take

Agreed , and if people are to scared or uncomfortable with cutting out the cross member/factory hitch then this bumper might not be for them.

I'm seriously interested if the rear bumper design is similar to Insain Fab in the first page. Also, offering options for carriers for a spare wheel, fuel/water cans, and Hi-lift jack would be a huge plus.

Make sure to have the slots to insert the Hi-lift jack.
