Up for sale is my 2004 4Runner SR5 V6 4x4. I bought this about 2 years ago and it has been garage kept in the time I've owned it. Right now it's at 161k miles. It's a cool truck, and has served me well. It's just time to make some garage space for the rest of my stuff. I'm not looking for...
So on another side note, are any of you/do any of you know of an inspector in NC that may possibly look the other way on some slightly darker than 32% tint?
I'm going to replace the OEM subwoofer in my JBL equipped 04. I've seen some pictures here of guys who've done this. Can you guys tell me which sub/amp you used that you managed to cram in the OEM location? I don't need to blow the windows out of the truck, I just want a little bit more.
The lack of a manual was one of my hesitations in buying a 4th gen as well. For the time and cost involved to do a manual swap, I'd likely just buy another vehicle.
Mine were both ripped when I bought the truck as well. Nearly 10k later they're still ripped because I've not bothered to replace them. I've got no idea how long they've been that way, and I likely won't mess with them until they start clicking.
I did a 6 hour round trip for a 3rd gen 5 speed that I ultimately passed on because the pictures were misleading. They tried their damndest to pressure me into buying it, but even after a 10 hour trip, be prepared to walk away if it doesn't meet your expectations.
Those pictures look a lot...
+1 for the pry bar to get the shock assembly all out once you have all of the bolts free. Mine had started to "rust" themselves to the top of the shock towers.
