ABS Engaging and Bucking w/ Lift

Ha, for sure. Still happens when you see all of the folks around here new to serious ice/snow driving...you can see it a mile away for sure. My situation in these instances is where it doesn't make sense (or safe) to get all of the speed scrubbed-off by applying steady/reasonable terminal...

ABS Engaging and Bucking w/ Lift

Hi Greg: Yeah, this is absolutely not a matter of being a s*tty driver who can't operate or feel the right degree of input required for any given situation (like landing a '50 Globe Swift at 90kn in a 15kn crosswind). That's why I tried the dealer so they could be sure things were calibrated...

ABS Engaging and Bucking w/ Lift

Thought I'd share this issue and dealer feedback. I installed my Toytec lift + wheels/tires within weeks of my '13 Limited landing in my driveway. Under hard braking and/or big bounce conditions where the ABS engages, the nose would of course drop a bit and ABS engages. However, on the...

    H4L Indicator "X"

Ha...exactly what I was thinking as I wrote that "mild" characterization. Yeah, I just ran 'er around in circles in the parking lot and all systems are GO. Feeling silly now for sure. Oh well...getting old I guess! 10" of snow up here and 1 degree (yep)...sheesh.

    H4L Indicator "X"

I thought it was green when it was active...the yellow with the "X" in the center threw me. It's been over a year since I've used this in that vehicle so I could be wrong and just set myself-up for mild embarrassment! ;^)

    H4L Indicator "X"

Hey... So today the roads were full-on ice covered. Went to engage the H4L range and the indicator showed a yellow drivetrain with a small "x" in the middle. No sounds or other telltale symptoms of serious malfunction. Before I call the irritating dealer, thought I'd ask if any of you have...

    Kayak Rack Questions...'12 Limited

I have used these for 5 years. Yakima HullRaiser roof Watersports Rack First on my 4th Gen and now on my 5th Gen. Just had to pay the absurd price for the new mounting brackets as well as install new mounting plates to the front (drilled into the top of my brand new '13) but they are great...

Excellent Bofa! I'd think you can find some good rental homes in Castle Rock. It was quite overbuilt at one point...in particular to the far West side down there with some very nice large homes. Totally suburban of course. Parker is just, well, Parker. Used to be so great as kid. It was...

    CO Front Range Meetup?

Go one, go all! If you look at the group, you'll find that more than few joined that were not 5th Gen. It'd be great to see the group get some CPR from a new organizer who may want to step-up. The way I had set it up, I was really encouraging anyone to suggest get togethers. It was of course...

    CO Front Range Meetup?

Hey man... The group doesn't need to die at all. Anyone who came on-board probably got an email from me (through the group) where I explained that I probably jumped the gun setting it up in the Fall and now am traveling almost non-stop so needed to step-down as the organizer. It just needs...

    Handgun in the 4R

Solid list from Stifler. I would most def toss-in the Springfield XD Compact .45 (a little beastly off the bat but this frame handles the .45 ACP nicely believe it or not - STOPPING power is a good thing of course) and maybe Glock 23 vs 19. Certainly depends on what fits and feels best to YOU...

I get to pick a new ride, help me decide

I have owned 3 LR Range Rovers. You are talking about a much different price bracket new of course and you then get the privilege of not only the Yuppie stigma, but the horrendous reliability. Beautiful interiors and cool as h**l IMO but NOT worth the hassles. Of the three, the Jeep will feel...

Nice - Denver Health. NOW you've really seen some of the worst we have to offer! Well, unless you've been out to Northeast Aurora, that is. Denver Health is a rock-star Level 1 Trauma center but other than that, I wouldn't use it on a regular basis. Please don't hesitate to drop me a line...

    need some lift advice

Yep...that ^^^^ (on both counts). I went through the very same analysis and ended up with the TT Ultimate and Cooper AT/3 285's on FN BFD 18" wheels. All good...very good (I do NOT miss XREAS at all - not an issue for you I know). Good luck.

Welcome to my world! I live in the Denver Highlands and commute up to Boulder every day... Wait till the snow flies. Welcome!
