H4L Indicator "X"

Hey...

So today the roads were full-on ice covered. Went to engage the H4L range and the indicator showed a yellow drivetrain with a small "x" in the middle. No sounds or other telltale symptoms of serious malfunction.

Before I call the irritating dealer, thought I'd ask if any of you have encountered this.

Thanks!

Isn't that the center diff lock symbol?

I thought it was green when it was active...the yellow with the "X" in the center threw me. It's been over a year since I've used this in that vehicle so I could be wrong and just set myself-up for mild embarrassment! ;^)

That's the symbol that tells you the center diff is locked. Normal. At least I hope so 'cause that's what mine does too when I use 4HL...

I would double check your owner's manual. But it sounds normal to me.

Just mild?

Ha...exactly what I was thinking as I wrote that "mild" characterization.

Yeah, I just ran 'er around in circles in the parking lot and all systems are GO.

Feeling silly now for sure. Oh well...getting old I guess!

10" of snow up here and 1 degree (yep)...sheesh.
