Normally I would agree with you, but in this case there is so much work involved in order to just get to the water pump. In my opinion, it would be well worth the cost of a new water pump while you have the area exposed. Take care.

I received my letter today and contacted a representative from Toyota, who said that they will not be starting the replacements until May. She further stated to take your vehicle to your local dealership now to start the process. I am looking forward to a new dashboard.

I have the "T&H" brand bull bar and it weighs about 35 lbs, but is not as expensive as the Jaos. However, you do get what you pay for.
