Thank you for that. Impatience beat me and I got in there with some plyers, twisted it off and did the reverse to get in. After install, yeah a few hot spots but much better overall then original bulbs. Once again, will reiterate that dimmers work. The most frustrating part is the polarity...

How do you get to the middle bulb in the gauge cluster? AFTER removing the screws that hold the board

Picked up this 1 owner 3rd gen limited 4wd with 87k a few weeks ago... I've always loved this style and after searching decided to pull the trigger. Traded in my 12' GX for it, much happier with this. Was always finding myself on the forum, now it's official! Also thought I'd share a picture...

Not to bring an old thread back to life, but on step 8 you mentioned the metal prongs... Does anyone know if you're able to pull it down so that I can grab the 'lip' properly WITHOUT disassembling all of this? The bottom part of mine right above the glove box is lifting. Searched but was unable...
