Anyone jump from a TRD Pro to a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited with 3.6L V6

Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/70/17 -C load. I had Bilstein 5100's with OME spring (887 front) 295e(?) rear and also ran Icon stage 3 at one point. Best bang for the buck is the Bilstein/OME set up.

    New Bronco on the Rubicon

I'd never get MT for off road again, been there and it sucks (for me). This new rig will not be a DD. Have you by chance driven the JL? I know the JK's sucked on the road with 37's..at least the one I drove. Any feed back on the JL's? Looks like jeep just did a TSB to address the steering box...

    New Bronco on the Rubicon

I am going through this drill right now having never owned a Jeep or a Ford. I am tempted just to go Rubi because i know a 3.5 lift and 37's are not an issue. It's the quality of the Jeep that concerns me. But, as you pointed out the Bronco is new, but it sounds like the 2.7 and 10 speed tranny...

The New Ford Bronco Debut Ad Nauseam - 8pm Eastern, July 13, 2020

Issues started well before 15 years. The timing cover leak was at about 60K, 6-7 years into ownership. Valve cover gaskets at about 5 years. Not a huge deal, but still.

Not sure how this happened but, ouch 2017 flop

Thanks for the detailed reply. Now that my 4Runner is sold and have some time to decide. I'll say I'm still thinking about the Rubi even though I have a reservation in for the BL 2DR Bronco. I want to run 37's for clearance, but I am still drawn to SFA on the Rubi. Not sure what to do.

Yes, I bought it new. But with all the talk (myself included) about Jeep and Ford quality being sub par, it had me thinking about the Tacoma and what is really reasonable to expect as far a repairs go and what crosses the line to POS status. I am not certain at this point to be honest.

The New Ford Bronco Debut Ad Nauseam - 8pm Eastern, July 13, 2020

I didn't have my 2016 4Runner long enough to rack up a ton of miles, so I never had any mechanical repairs done. I do however still have my 05 Tacoma which with less than 100K miles had the valve cover gaskets replaced, the timing cover seeps oil, and the lower coolant bypass hose need to be...

Honest question..what would you buy if you were to sell the 4Runner?
