There is a buzzing coming from behind the radiator / right in front of the engine that correlates with the engine RPM. Not sure if this is part of the problem by my low oil pressure light came on. I checked the oil level and everything looked good. The light was gone when I cranked it back up...

Thanks for pointing me in that direction Bluesky07. He doesn’t have this specific mod but I’ll poke around some more to see if I can piece it together. If I could get a circuit diagram of the door lights, I could start from there. Unfortunately my googling skills hasn’t been able find it.

Great mod. I did something similar to my S2000 where I wired in the garage opener to my headlights. Everytime I flashed my high beams it would open the garage. Not sure which way I'm going to go on the 4Runner.

It looks like the Spec-USA allows you to control the iPhone/iPod directly and from the head unit where as the GROM only allows you to control from the head unit. I only care about Pandora so it looks like the Spec-USA is the way to go.

I just moved up from an S2000 to a 4th gen 4Runner. On the S2000 forums we had the same mod. There was the option of sending in your instrument cluster and paying to have the conversion done and sent back. darkie3495 would you be interested in this type of model?
