Convert Door Lights to Mood Lights

I’ve searched all over this forum and haven’t been able to find an answer.

The functionality I’m trying to create is to add a dimmer switch to the door lights and have them on at night turning them into mood lights. When the door opens have the light go to full brightness.

Any idea on how to achieve this?

Take a look at [MENTION=15785]J.A.[/MENTION] ‘s 4th Gen page. Not sure this specific mod is there but he has several about lighting and does such thorough write ups that you might end up with enough info to figure out how to wire it.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction Bluesky07. He doesn’t have this specific mod but I’ll poke around some more to see if I can piece it together.

If I could get a circuit diagram of the door lights, I could start from there. Unfortunately my googling skills hasn’t been able find it.

I think someone on here has the electrical system manual. Maybe they’ll see this and reply.
