Buy or trade I have a 2012 black Limited with 70k miles, excellent condition. I'd like to do the front end conversion to the newer style and I'm looking for one of two scenarios. 1. Someone plans to upgrade to an aftermarket bumper, in which case I will buy your original parts all in one shot...

Just picked up a 2012 Limited, did the T9 and got some FJ rims and snow tires. Really considering the front end conversion.

I'm also torn between the 1 vs 2/1 I'd like to keep my stock 265's. I haven't read the entire thread yet. Will the 2/1 look funny with 265? 2012 limited black

My FJ was voodoo blue with white, that color combo was my dream car for years. The white roof looks good to me lol but maybe I dont have the best eye for stuff

For any future readers, when there is heavy frame rust, check condition of things like power steering lines. They will bubble sometimes before eventually leaking.

Maybe not the best place to ask, but are these the same that came on my 2012 limited? Id take them if they are an upgrade.

I had an FJ between 2018 and 2020. I put 15k miles on it and just sold it with 195k for 20% more than I paid. The bluebook value went up that much.. I couldn't believe it!

I just sold my FJ with 194k on it. It was solid, no major issues. -had a trans shimmy when I bought it,100% resolved itself with a fluid change -had some pretty bad rust from Michigan winters.. was told it could not be aligned anymore Thats about it.. very reliable, go anywhere.

Kinda funny story real quick. I bought my FJ with 175k on it for $8k in early 2018. I drove it for a few years and loved it.. decided to go with a 4Runner and sold it last month for $9400 with 194k on it. The blue book value went up nearly 20%.. I couldn't believe it until I started getting...

Agreed, it is not step forward. I think they would be wiser to do another tasteful face-lift in the next few years.. focus on features and reliability.

Installed mine, so far so good. I recommend anyone interested in the T9 to go to the Facebook group first, it lists a lot of items you will have questions about later.
