I agree, I don't think they ever did anything to it except change the oil (regular oil changes on carfax). It's not currently on the road so I couldn't drive it either. I passed but man it was cheap. Someone is going to get a heck of a deal or a moneypit.

True. This is something I would buy for fun as an extra vehicle and wrenching that sure does not look fun. I'm NE though, so it's hard to find anything good. Trying to find one in AZ to ship but that is proving to be costly, ~ 5 times the cost of this one.

I have a chance to buy an 05 V8 230K super cheap (like 1/3 KBB) it has a few fixable issues but I'm really only concerned about the frame rust. This looks like a couple of holes to me. Thoughts? I really don't want one that will need to be patched anytime soon.

That undercarriage looks a heck of a lot better than the ones I am seeing in MA with 1/3 the miles. Looks like a great deal, seems like you spent all your time with it wrenching it rather than driving it. Somebody here should buy this. Would you have concerns driving it from Ohio to say Boston :)

From what I've read it rusts from the inside out so it probably did not develop as quickly as you think, it just couldn't be seen. I figure in the pics above if the outside looks like that then the inside must be worse. Congrats on the 2020.

Looking for a rust free 3rd gen myself but starting to think an 06-09 4th gen is the sweet spot right now.

How about this one? I looked at this one the other day. 02 with 155K, other than this rust pretty nice. Wanted 4K, said the rust was superficial. I passed, right call?
