I thought a turbo was the same as supercharger, but yes this is a supercharger that was most likely installed by the dealer when original purchased. I did not really understand what this was all about when I first bought the car about 6 years ago, I just liked the car and the price at the time.
Thank you for all the responses. It's my daughters car who lives 5 plus hours away. She was here over Xmas when I saw the code. Like an idiot I did not look under the hood to install the MAF sensor until the day prior to her departure. I'm going to order the part and find someone to install it...
Its a 1999 4runner V6 turbo. The P0171 code, system too lean, pops up. I replaced upstream O2 sensor and MAF sensor but code keeps coming up within 10 minutes. I notice now a crack in the air intake hose (see attachment). Could this be the cause?
