Ham radio
All the other posters are right on. My off road is in very isolated areas of Baja California Mexico. Also I spend time off road exploring old ghost towns and mines in Nevada. CB would be useless due to its limited range. With ham radio I can always contact another ham somewhere...
Just bought 5th Gen SR5. My 4th 4Runner. Tires are 265/70R 17 Dunlop AT20 Grandtrek. They must be changed as we spend 6 months in Baja, highway and off road. Lots of potholes at 70 mph, no way the Dunlops are staying on. Looking at Michelin LTX M&S or M&S2. Costco has best deal. Are...
Stock tires?
WATK69: What happened to your "stock" tires? Just got a 5G built July 25 and it has Dunlops. Sure wish it had better tires. Plan on using it offroad a lot.
Read the Stant cap has problems, with no locking door on the 5G, anybody found a locking gas cap for the new (July 2010) 5G? I know gas cannot be siphoned, but stuff can be put in the tank.
