3rd Gen TRD SC to be discontinued by Toyota June 30th 2015

This is the route I was going to take before I started my build. It would be a hell of a lot of power with just a few mods for that vehicle. Someone already stuffed one into a 2wd 3rd gen, and it looked fairly straightforward if you are good at fabrication. The biggest hurdle I saw was trying...

Shifter bounces a little. Worn trans mount?

My shifter vibrates just like yours, but I can't hear any noise associated with it. And it does smooth out after 70mph or so too. I've replaced my engine/trans mounts, new gears, and new brakes, so it's none of those. More of an aggravation than anything. U joints don't have any play either...

    Engine Work Choices

I think the supercharger/URD 7th injector would be the most painless route and probably the cheapest if you don't have fabrication skills/machines to work with. Doesn't require much in the way of tools, and very straightforward if you can follow a manual. I considered a 2jzgte swap for my 99...

Dropped my girl off at the shop today, I hope they take good care of her. They are the best name in town with plenty of happy customers, so it should be good. They talked me out of using the Yukon gears, as they have had problems with them in the past, warranties and such. Was told that there...

Bilstein coilover conversion kit, anyone tried these?

Friend at work picked up a sweet 97 5spd 4wd the other day for a song, came with 5100's front and rear, with OME springs in the back. He was looking at this kit, and wanted to know if they are any good. I figured someone may have used them at some point. Good/Bad? Any issues with the...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

Spoke with Gadget today, and he said that his 7th kit does not interface with the MAF at all. The only thing I did since starting this install as far as the air delivery is an ISR mod, and supercharger. ETA... the only ports the 7th taps into for my application (cali emilssions) are, ignition...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

Not sure if this is related to the supercharger/urd 7th injector install, but I developed a few check engine codes. After the initial crank after install, she purred like a kitten. No issues. Took it on a test drive, gradually easing into the throttle more and more. Just as I pulled back into...

Sorry for the lack of updates, been putting in some long hours working on this girl. Front ready for coilovers, new lbjs and tie rods. rear suspension ready. pile of parts removed. Shiny pile of new parts from Sonoran Steel :tongue1: Spare tire carrier modified to fit 33, still not...

    4.30 axles gears or 4.56

Just for reference, I just paid over 3500 to have 4.56's front and rear with air lockers installed. I'd jump all over that if I were you!

The sound is temporary, I just needed something to get me by for now. I thought it would be pointless to dump a ton of cash on it being that it needed so many other mods first.

Unfortunately I couldn't begin to tell you where to find someone that would service the pcb. You might be able to have toyota reprogram it for your specific mileage, but they may be funny about that. Total hours spent working on removing the old exhaust manifolds and cat pipe, then...

Got the cat pipes fitted up welded, and all bolted on. Punched out the cats as well, we'll see how that works out lol. Fitting and tack welding Finished cat pipe ready to install. Santa brought me a 1" body lift today. Thanks shootmymime, looks great! Also plumbed the boost sensing line...
