    Either or. They are designed to work with the factory springs, but you could use springs like these and they would work fine. In the first photo you can see the 4 grooves in the shock body for the c-clip to mount the spring perch. If you use stock springs you'd want it set on the top setting...

    Take these images and head to your local fab shop and tell them you're looking for a deer proof bumper. Keep in mind, if they try to charge you more than $300, it's a rip off and you should go elsewhere.

    I've always liked Gerdo's modification to the stock uppers. He welded a threaded shaft to one side and a nut onto the other. This allows the ends to rotate without resistance.

    What axles are you looking at? Standard reman 1st gen Tundra axles work fine with any +3.5 kit.
