    Mixing stock with Icon

Thanks for the replies, the lift has been on a bout a month. I have no third seat and no after market bumpers, just an big fat lazy Lab that rides in the back occasionally.

    Mixing stock with Icon

So.. I installed a Icon stage 1 and 285's, 2012 T4R TE w/ KDSS. The problem I am having is twofold - - The wife hates it (she's short) - the rear end still sticks up a good 2 or 3 inches higher than the front, I hate the stinkbug look. I'm thinking of compromising and replacing the Icon rear...

How far have you pushed your stock tires?

The stock Dunlops will work fine until you save enough for the "right" tires...+ [/ATTACH] Yes, they suck, but not as bad as you may think, they handled Elephant Hill in Utah without issue

    Blizzaks for travel?

You only get half the tread Just a heads up, I researched Blizzaks and several other winter tires as I live in Aspen, be aware that the Blizzaks only have 55% of their tread compound as their special formula, the bottom 45% of the tread is just standard winter rubber. Be aware of this when...

    Vail bound...

Welcome to Colorado! I'm just round the corner in Aspen. When you get tired of the lift lines at Vail come on over and ski our four mountains, the only line you'll have to fight is the one at Gucci, or Prada :p Nothing like Highlands Bowl on a pow day... I am the GM of two boutique hotels in...

T4R TE makes noises when off?

Awesome, thanks for the quick replies. I thought I had read the owners manual in detail but must have missed that part.

    Adding backlighting to existing switches?

Is it just me, or is it frustrating that Toyota opted not to backlight the garage door switches and the rear window switch? Everything else is easy to see at night except these switches and I use them a bunch. More than once my wife has (OK, me as well ) accidentally turned off my stability...

T4R TE makes noises when off?

OK, so I'm in my garage last night working on a project, when I hear a buzzing noise near the truck. I walk around it and discover a noise coming from underneath, in the rear, that sounds like a small motor. (fuel pump?) Definitley coming from the truck. I check to see if I left my keys in it...

    Recommendations for Winter Recovery Kit

I thought I had made it abundantly clear - point by point- in my post that I did not advocate doing anything unsafe or beyond you or your vehicles capabilities. Hopefully this sets the record straight

    Recommendations for Winter Recovery Kit

Hey VonMuss With all due respect to the seasoned members of the forum I tend to be a bit more on the relaxed side. I have lived in the Colorado mountains (Aspen, Winter Park, Crested Butte, Vail Valley) for 18 years and have helped many a neighbor and stranger get their car unstuck, it's a way...

2012 TE Conquers Elephant Hill in Utah

Nice video of Elephant Hill Harper7, shows the terrain better. Looks a lot easier in a lifted TE. And yep, too bad Lions back is closed, drove by the closed gate Sunday. Baby LB is open, but much tamer.
