There is not enough clearance to remove pump/accumulator assembly. Removing complete assembly is not difficult. Bleeding ABS block us not difficult. I've done this job twice.
My '03 engine bay wiring harness has brittle insulation which is a throwback to the biodegradable-wire era. IMO, electrical problems will take my T4R off the road before any mechanical failure does.
IIRC, our cars have a chipped key which handshakes with an immobilizer module. The module sends command to ECM to allow start. Pray this is not the problem. Check ECM first.
I agree with Cezar. No dashboard CEL on key on, no ECM communication. Test ECM connector for power. It's also worth trying to clean connector and ECM pins. Try spare ECM. I think the replacement needs to be programmed to VIN.
If you are leaving the platform for another make, by all means sell the parts. If you are getting another 4th or 5th gen, a lot of those parts will carry over.
There is a leaf spring inside the door hinge that is brittle. Could that be the problem? I bet the locking door can be added from Lexus LX470 if it has one. Wiring is easy. The problem will be mounting the door lock actuator.
