No worries. I drove from Tampa to Atlanta with my newly purchased 4runner with the "Bug deflector" but guess what. I had hundreds of dead bloody bugs on the windshield. If this thing does help then I can imagine I would have had thousands of bugs. It does not appear to help but I guess it does
Thanks. There has got to be a cig fuse as all the Toyota's I have owned had one.
Radio power wire sounds good. I'll think about that when I install a headunit.
I wish the prior owner of my 4runner was like you! Good Job! Doing the same except I purchased a mobil 1 oil filter. So I take it that the OEM one is just as good so next time I will go with that Japan one that everyone is talking about.
My brothers 2000 bmw 328 is the same way with no dip stick and a "sealed" tranny where you never have to change the fluid. I just don't trust that for some reason. I would still check the Spark plugs every 30k to see if they are going bad. Even if they are iridium plugs
Yeah what is seafoam? This weekend while doing the deck plate mod I noticed a nasty looking PCV and throttle butterfly. I emptied a can of throttle body cleaner and replaced the PCV and it is much better now. I know for sure the previous owner did not do any maintanence for sure now. Other then...
Ok now this is wierd cause I was just thinking about this too. I have a small dot sized crack and now today I noticed a small line crack somewhere else. I am glad to know I am not the only one suffering here. It is almost vertical so I can see how rocks will have more impact. I will definatly...
Cig Lighter fuse? Where is it? I can't find it in the engine bay or the bottom left fuse box in the driver side.
I'll tell you why I am looking for it. I want to get power from there and make my fog lights independent vs. having them turn on with the parking lights. (fog light mod) I guess...
The reason I took the elbow out along with the deck plate because I want the least restrictions as posible. Also I noticed that the elbow picks up ALOT of dirt from the fender well. At least now the box has an extension pointing in that direction but nothing to restrict it and suck dirt from the...
I thought about that screen you used but the holes are a bit to big and scarry for me. I just used metal window screening material. I don't know where the ECU is. What do I do?
I did this yesterday as well. It came out great except I followed some DIY that recomended a 4.25" round cutting bit but I would have been better off with a 4.50" for a perfect fit. I had to trim some more off. Only took 3 minutes. Total project took about 90 minutes too. Took off the elbows...
