That is true. with early versions, you would need to bend the pin in the drl module. that topic has been thoroughly discussed. I did not disable my DRL function. That is the reason why I am running a relay to activate the Bi-LED high beam actuator.

I am running the Bi-LED high beams with the halogen high beam by tapping off the power of the halogen high beam connected to a relay which powers the LED actuator blue wire. you can connect the blue wire directly to the high beam power if you turn off the DRL function.

I connected the red and black wires to the old connectors and stripped back the wire on the blue wire and added a separate segment of wire to make the connection. I didn't want to cut off the original pin connector.
