ya this sucks.. he told me 2,000 for a rebuild or if i find a used one he would put it in for 550

Well.. took it to a tranny shop took a ride and had them listen.. They said it was Planetary failure and ill need a full rebuild or a new tranny:dammit: Still seems to be shifting fine but he said it could go out at any time.

ya im really hoping i don't need it either.. been riding with it for probably about a month n half now and haven't heard any weird noises in neutral yet. hopefully getting it checked out tomorrow we'll see what happens

mine only wines in gear also and when I let off gas goes away, and doesnt get any better once warm.. but it does seem to be getting worse since its been cold out.. Topdown im only around 3 to 4 hours away from you. If i do end up needing a new tranny i might have to take you up on that.

Just read the other thread and my truck is making exact same noise.. Only 104k on the truck wtf!!!:mad:
