Was down greasing the prop shaft when I noticed this mess. 100k on the vehicle, a lot of hard offroad miles. It looks like the seals at both ends are done, is there a writeup on pulling the xfer case and replacing all the seals? I found one for the 3rd gens, but can't seem to find one for ours.

unfortunately no. Mine also looked completely fine. Did you pull codes? Mine showed C1407 Open or Short Rear Speed Sensor RH. It was only after I replaced the harness and stripped the wiring on the old one to look at it, did I notice it was bad.

figured it out - there was a spacer in the package that the instructions showed was for the top of the stem - it wasn't. Found better instructions on the Fox website which was explicit about the spacer being installed on the bottom mount.
