I'm heading up to DC next week. Want to test mine for me? I changed out the coolant with Asian by Zerex and it took awhile for the air to work itself out because the coolant level slowly dropped for several weeks but is holding steady now. 04 limited 182000. I was worried.

I'm not sure how water could get in the oil as OP is thinking. I quess if it had a leaky gasket and stayed in the water for a long time it's possible. Don't think it ingest water either as shallow as the water was. I'd like to here the outcome and I hope his fears are far worse than the repairs.

This will be my last post here. My guess is that you have wet plug coil/boots causing misfires. Go out and pull them and see if some are wet. The transmission can be addressed next.

I think you are panicking. You say you might tow it Toyota for a diagnostic test but you can't afford their work. You must know of a reputable independent shop. Again go find a scan tool. Most modern vehicles have the fuel pump submerged in the fuel tank. Running low or out of gas is hard on the pump. Squeezing out a couple more miles out of the tank of gas can get very expensive when the fuel pump has to be replaced.

I would do only the O2 sensor. Easy job. OEM if at all possible.

If the OP has the hydraulic press and the know how he can do it no problem. Shy in either area I would suggest buy assemblies or letting a machine shop do the pressing.
