Other places to buy I'd also recommend ebay for buying car stereo gear. I've had good experiences with purchases there. I'd just be careful who you're buying from. i.e. don't buy from people w/ zero feedback. You can save serious money there.

Difference in sound Lee, I checked out your site and it looks like we have the same head unit. Alpine CDA-7894. Did putting that 4-chan. alpine amp make enough of a difference, in your opinion? Nice looking ride, by the way

Thanks Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to wait to replace the speakers. I'm doing the sound upgrade piece-by-piece. Right now I've got a Mccintosh mcc301m powering a 12" DVC Eclipse aluminum sub with the amp sitting in it's own custom-made box. I'll post picts some time, it looks...

Does anyone know what size the rear speakers in a 96 runner are? Crutchfield doesn't seem to have that info. Thanks!
