Roof Top Tent (RTT) Picture Gallery & BS Thread

Pickett CCC Memorial State Park. A really nice rural park with a very close proximity to Big South Fork and some pretty good fire roads. Attached a pic of our setup at camp. The slope was a bit much but the annex floor had enough slack to keep a flat floor. <a data-flickr-embed="true"...

Roof Top Tent (RTT) Picture Gallery & BS Thread

We love it. The big named tents are all really close in most things. The reason we got this over others was the open sky feature with the rain fly off. We like to go to dark parks and see the stars when possible. Having the open sky makes the experience even better. I dont think I'd be...

    Black Roof Rack covers

I have a set off my 16 Trail you can have for shipping costs. They stayed on for 3 months until the Gobi came in. I want them out of the basement. PM if you want them and I'll see what the cost to ship would be.

Bump stops or overland springs? Or both?

Stock bumpers for me but I roll with a RTT, Awning, cooler and bike rack for a good portion of the warm months. I had overland springs and bumpstops, first trip I took with this setup I noticed the rear sagging pretty bad. So I ended up with Airlift bags in the back as well to keep from...

Terrible experience with Orange Boxx Fabrication PSD rack

Well I hope someone else comes up with a different design concept, because I was looking forward to buying these and now its not an option. I've been in customer facing industries my entire working life. 25 years of dealing with awful people who are way more wrong on a consistent basis than...

    SPOTTED Thread

Just got back from a trip across the country. Spotted this good looking 3rd gen at a Safeway in Flagstaff, AZ. Also spotted a silver 5th gen by Lumberyard Brewing with front and rear bumpers that looked fantastic. The wife was really interested in what front bumper it had on, but we didnt...

    Making LED Lightbar Anti-Theft

I looked around at several options, security torx, torx and 6 sided. I ended up using Triple Square, a type of bolt used on Porsches and some other german cars. I had the drivers due to owning a Porsche and I know most people dont have the tools needed to remove them. Not perfect but less...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

I built a pulley system using parts of an off the shelf garage storage pulley and things from lowes. I can't imagine keeping this thing on all the time. Don't really have any good pics. This one gives you an idea. I'll put a video of it in action on youtube when I get back home next week.

    Official Awning Thread

Here is a pic of my room w/floor packed up. Box its on is 30x16. The Awning room is just slightly larger/heavier than my 23zero Bundaberg vestibule.

Gobi Rack - Advantage and disadvantages

Easy to install, looks fantastic, its strong as hell and I trust it more than any other roof rack I've owned. No other rack I've seen has an install that makes me think it will look good in 10 years, and the Gobi will. At the very least it wont damage my roof during that time. I climb on it...
