I just purchased a 2001 4Runner and it has a fair amount of rust throughout the underbody. I want to stop the rust and protect against future corrosion so I've bought some Rust-Oleum products off the shelf of Home Depot and am wondering if this is the right way to go or if I should try...

Hello! Just purchased my first 4Runner - black 2001, just under 100k miles. Glad to be a part of the group! Can anyone recommend a good Toyota mech in this area? Either Seattle or Bellevue area? I'm thinking I need to get it checked out for recall stuff and the 90k service is coming up...
