So the wife bought a 4runner that we thought had minor problems (we made the bad mistake of not taking it to a mechanic - still kicking self after 6 months) and those problems turned out to be a necessary valve job.
We were quoted nearly 3000 dollars by a mechanic to have him take off everything...
