'90 3vze rebuild problems/questions

So the wife bought a 4runner that we thought had minor problems (we made the bad mistake of not taking it to a mechanic - still kicking self after 6 months) and those problems turned out to be a necessary valve job.
We were quoted nearly 3000 dollars by a mechanic to have him take off everything and redo the valves, so we made the decision to do it ourselves and just take the heads in to the mechanic to have him do his thing, and then we would put everything back on afterwards.
Well, that was 6 months ago, and we are nearly there (I'm mechanically inclined, but no mechanic myself - I hate wrenching on cars..) but we have been running into issues with some things where we either didnt label something or the label came off - so I was wondering if I could get the community's help..
Most importantly, I cant figure out what is supposed to go here, a fuel line or a vacuum line:

I know that I have one fuel line that is open at the moment, but the line in question wont reach to the arrow'd fitting.

Also, I have a vacuum line that goes across the top of the motor from the driver to the passenger side, that originates from this pot:

I think the PO might have cut the line and then put hard plastic line across the motor compartment, because it turns back to rubber line on the passenger side. That line ends in a T fitting, with a stubby hose attached on one side, and a nipple on the other. Does anyone know where this might go?

And lastly, I have the heater (?) line that goes to the "switch" on the heater hose:

Could I get information on how this secures onto the arm that actuates the lever that opens the flow?
Should I just throw a small stub of vacuum line onto it?

Thanks for the help in advance, it'll be nice to finally get this thing together and see if it runs or if I should just burn it for insurance lol
(Not really, my wife would kill me with a mere look..)

Hey Spyder, the answer to your first question is not fuel or vacuum--it's a coolant line just below your throttle body on the right side, and the other end is in your last pic, right at the base of your red arrow (the small line with the fat sleeve). There should be a spring clamp to secure it. The heater control valve cable just slips on the armature with no visible fastener. The stiffness of the cable and the short distance to the firewall will keep it on. As for the vacuum can next to your brake booster, I have no idea--maybe that's for automatics, because my 5-spd model doesn't have it. Best of luck!
