You're about 4.5 months to late.

You don't actually stand on the roof. You use a step stool or ladder from the side to mount it. Just put the cardboard on the roof to protect the paint when you slide it on. Mount it up then remove the cardboard.

I did it with my wife and she's 4'10. I left my oem racks on my cruiser and put a cardboard on the roof. Took off the sunroof insert to make it lighter. She stood on the tailgate and eased it on the roof. I was on the floor and pushed it up. Once on the roof, I put all 8 gutter mounts and...

Its still better than I can weld, but I agree it's pretty sloppy.

Got my rack delivered today and installed same day. Order took forever but well worth the wait. Yes this is a Lx450 FJ80 land cruiser that I installed it on. I needed one for my cruiser not my T4R. My 4runner doesn't need a rack cause she rolls with the soft top down :)

Got a call from the freight company. Scheduled my delivery for Wed. Woohoo!

Just called Gobi today and they said my rack is in packaging and should ship it today or tomorrow. I'm to wait for a call from the local freight company to arrange delivery date. So hopefully by end of next week it will be delivered. I've left a bunch of email to TD and they stopped responding...

Contact Trail Duty a few days ago and the email response said that mine should be shipping next week, but they checking with Gobi. Has anyone actually called Gobi directly to get an ETA?
