Just called Gobi today and they said my rack is in packaging and should ship it today or tomorrow. I'm to wait for a call from the local freight company to arrange delivery date. So hopefully by end of next week it will be delivered.



I've left a bunch of email to TD and they stopped responding to email about a month ago. For those that are still waiting. Just call Gobi directly and give them your name and order #. They should be able to pull up your order info.

I second that. TD was useless to me. They stopped responding. I worked directly with gobi towards the end and they were great. Once I got my rack I wrote TD an email about how their customer service was terrible during the process. (For me at least)

Well, after my standing on the rack, I see it bent a bit. I thought it was supposed to be able to handle my mere 250lbs, but I guess not. :/

Rock Solid

I guess I'm a lightweight at 215 lbs, my rack is rock solid when I stand on it. Perhaps the full grating makes it stronger, it definitely makes it heavy!

The weight concentrated on an area the size of a heel will definitely cause it to deform. The weight rating is a evenly spread rating.

Having said that, gobi doesn't make that clear so I would be pissed and would bring it up to them if you can't easily bend it back.

The rack arrived today, in great shape, but no LED light bar. The packing slip says it will arrive separately. Did everyone receive their light bars separately? If so, how much later did you get it?

I finally got frustrated of waiting and called Monday, they said mine was shipping this week and I paid 11/12 so if you paid around the same time you should be hearing something soon hopefully.

I called three weeks ago and was told it would ship that week or next. That has come and gone. I paid 11/5.

Here is a pic that shows it. It goes all the way down to the strip that they added that follows the lip of the lift gate.

Got my rack delivered today and installed same day. Order took forever but well worth the wait. Yes this is a Lx450 FJ80 land cruiser that I installed it on. I needed one for my cruiser not my T4R.

My 4runner doesn't need a rack cause she rolls with the soft top down

how are you planning to run your light bar (I see the brackets to support)?

Waiting for mine to arrive and considering drilling through the body or double sided tape to the inside of the windshield.

what have those with light bars or rear/side flood/spot lights down with their cables?

I bought this TrimBrite T9020 BodyGuard Clear Smooth Protection film. It's supposedly reasonably easy to use and offers very good protection vs scratches.

Disclaimer: I have not yet installed it, though will be doing so soon.
