Necrothreading, but wanted to vouch for this fix. Adjusting the 'ears' on the bulb holder helped restore contact and the rear brake light!

Yes, thanks. I realize the universals are listed as the replacement for all vertical mounts. IMHO, the *V mounts just have better aesthetics and lower profile compared to the universals. So, if anybody has a set of 10V (or whichever *V fits) I'm still open.

I've got the same bag of 4 tie-downs as well with my 2012 Trail. The bag has the '401863' number, BUT on the inside of the tie-down itself, there looks to be an actual part number: PT278-89100-TD Looking up the part, the name is "4R RF RACK TIE DOWN" with a retail price of $39.39. Hopefully...
