upset I have to add to this my 85 4runner was stolen a couple weeks ago in south san jose My security was the red steering wheel lock thought this would be enough they cut my steering wheel with bolt cutters I ended up finding it down the street they just ripped up the glove box and thats it...

What about a 22re turbo? I was talk to a shop near me they said that may be a good choice. How much more power would you get out of that turbo? 20hp?

Thanks for the feedback i will most likey take it to the my local shop ask Them to take apart the 22 re motor to see if its able to be rebuilt. But if not i am going to start to look for the chevy 4.3 or a fare price 3.4. Would i still be able to pass smog with that chevy 4.3?

Well long story short took my 22re 4runner into a big mudd pit sucked mudd through my air filter and some went into engine. I ended up making it home 45 min away barely. So i changed the oil twice in 24 hours , new spark plugs, new wires, new cap and rotor. Still running very rough. Next step...

I have a 1985 4runner and the back window still goes up and down but only when I put wire to the back of the rear window switch the button doesn't work so I bought another switch but the same thing. Any ideas? I checked the fuses and there all good. Thanks for any ideas you may have
