There's a part up there that senses when the locker is engaged and turns on the light on the dash. I forget what it's called but you should be able to plug it if you want. I don't think will prevent or enable the locker from engaging.

Models without the tilt wheel get your washer stalk. I'm not sure if they're interchangeable but it's worth a try.

Just a tip. Search "hood strut" 3rd gen and you'll get some results. The quotes make it search for that combination of words instead of just the single words. Works on other search engines too.
