My 15 has this whine. Brought it to my dealer and they determined it was the timing chain tensioner. Replaced it and the noise is still there. Now Toyota's stance is that its normal. Total BS as it's loud, and sounds ridiculous. Haven't decided what to do about it yet... It started around 30k miles.

My 15' SR5 Premium had a major "cold temp" rattle. After approx. 1 week with the dealer; it was traced to the cowl between the hood and windshield and a wire harness under the cowl. It still does it but its 75% better.

Update After 3 days with the dealer, the issue has been located and approx. 75% solved. The problem is the cowling between the hood and windshield, and a wire harness that runs into the fire wall underneath. The tech removed the cowling and drove the truck first thing in the morning (low temp...

Any Updates?! My 2015 SR5 4R has 650 miles on it and the windshield tick, creak noise is hideous when its cold out. The dealer said they fixed it by removing the upper window stop and adding sound proofing material to a wire harness above the headliner. It did nothing to address the issue. Its...
