I said mine was replaced last summer, but actually it was last April. I felt the same as you and was concerned that once we got into summer it wouldn't cool adequately, but it seemed to work just fine last summer.

Had leaking evaporator replaced last summer in my 2006 and I now have temps almost identical to yours. Mine was leaking when I bought it, so I have no pre-leak temps for reference.

My experience with OME 884 was the same. Installed with 5100's on the bottom setting and got 4" of lift on the front.

I’d like to add some auxiliary lights to the cargo area and have them operate based on the switch position of the rear dome light. Has anyone done this? I assume you could just tie into the rear dome light? Could someone offer some guidance on how to wire this up to make it work? Not...

Yep, that's exactly what it was doing before it stopped blowing cool air completely. So I'm screwed, huh? I'm having a mechanic perform a sniffer check later this week hopefully, but I think I already know the answer.

Strong smell of Freon inside the cab and in the condensate. Is this a clear indication that my leak is in the evaporator or is there a possibility the leak could be somewhere that doesn’t require this nightmare of a procedure?

Daystar 1.5" rear spacers I have a set of Daystar 1.5" rear spacers that are brand new and never used/installed. I decided to replace coils instead. Model #KT09127BK and are listed for 07-14 FJ Cruiser on the label, but these fit 4th Gen 4Runner also. I can't post pictures, but I'll be glad...
