I have the factory roof rack with rails.

I found an older Thule rack on Craigslist that came off of a 97 Explorer. The guy sent me some pictures and the feet have 515-5031 printed on them. The Thule website says a 99 4runner needs 430 tracker II feet and a ZK-1 mount. Thule's website says a 97 explorer also needs the same 430 tracker...

Just about two years now. I haven't noticed any negative changes in operation since that time.
