*PurigeN98* ( 98%= pure nitrogen) for your tires

Agreed, but the evil air that's full of moisture stays there! :) I was just trying to point out that you aren't getting pure nitrogen in the tire, its a mix of atmospheric air and the nitrogen. It's better than air from a compressor I suppose (but not worth paying extra for it).

*PurigeN98* ( 98%= pure nitrogen) for your tires

Also, how are they going to get rid of the air naturally occurring in the inside of the tire volume? I doubt anybody is going to vaccuum and backfill a tire and wheel assembly (assuming the bead won't unseal under a vaccuum).

    2003 SR5 with Trailer

That's a weird looking mirror on the right fender - what's it for? I towed our '65 Mustang home on a rented flatbed trailer; the tow vehicle was a 1997 Chevy Astro van. That was an interesting drive home, let me tell you!

    2003 SR5 with Trailer

Ours is a Jayco Eagle 10UD. It is made with Dexter torsion bar axles. I was looking into adding brakes and in the process spoke to a Dexter representative. The short answer is that electric brakes CAN be added if the axle set was equipped with a backing plate to mount the brakes (basically...

    2003 SR5 with Trailer

Thanks! I thought some of the members asking questions about towing would like to see a 4Runner with a trailer attached. That trailer weighs about 2200 pounds wet and unfortunately has no braking system on it. Other than the lack of brakes, it tows very nicely. The 4Runner seems to be barely...

    '04 4Runner Stock (manufacturer) Tires

A lot depends on how you drive. We have 25K or so on Michelin Cross Terrains and they are past half worn.

My 04 V-6 Oil Analysis Report

Uh, just a tip, you may want to edit out your name address and phone number from the report! I haven't submitted any of my current cars oil samples to Blackstone yet (I did an old car of mine).

Why NOT to install a body lift or use inferior lift products

I did, he doesn't explain how it happened very well. I see the engine now, but it still seems odd that it would stay with the body and not the frame as it is bolted to the frame via motor mounts and cross members. The thread said he used grade 8 bolts, but somebody speculated that grade 5...

    What about this tire warranty??

How much you wanna bet that at least one of those tires is going to need balanced at each 5K rotation. Balance is probably $15 or so plus $18 for each wheel rotation and we're at $33 minimum per visit. Now, you're at $660 just to get to the 100K mark. Lets see, you also lose the use of your...

Why NOT to install a body lift or use inferior lift products

What I find really odd about that photo is that most of the drivetrain went with the body. That means the motor mounts (rubber) or their bolts sheared off too. Not to mention that the tranny crossmember mount must have sheared at the connection to the transmission too. I can't imagine a...

    Performance Shocks for 2003 4Runner?

Are there any performance on-road shocks available for the 2003 4Runner? I checked Bilstein's site and the 2003 Runners are listed as "in development". TRD had no listings either. This is for a 2003 SR5 2wd non-XREAS.
