What I find really odd about that photo is that most of the drivetrain went with the body. That means the motor mounts (rubber) or their bolts sheared off too. Not to mention that the tranny crossmember mount must have sheared at the connection to the transmission too.

I can't imagine a highway maneuver that could generate that kind of force.

If you look at this pic, you will see the engine sitting to the right of the body.

They used grade 5 bolts for the lift kit in this pic, didn't NE send grade 8 with their play-doh kit?

Some people were asking what would happen if the bolt sheared from a NE kit, here is the answer...

I did, he doesn't explain how it happened very well.

I see the engine now, but it still seems odd that it would stay with the body and not the frame as it is bolted to the frame via motor mounts and cross members.

The thread said he used grade 8 bolts, but somebody speculated that grade 5 bolts might have stretched more before shearing.

If the bolts were grade 8, he didn't use enough of them!
