Quick question. In the middle of a full radiator flush. After draining 8L, filled the radiator up with distilled water and idled with the engine on for 20-25 minI also went and feathered the accelerator a bit.
When I opened the valve on the bottom to drain, I was curious and touched the water...
Unfortunately, the Victory Lap starter contacts/plunger kit that was well recommended came with a plunger that was shorter than the original. After cranking, it would usually grind momentarily before starting. It's been in for a few years (not daily driven) with maybe 100 starts.
I finally...

I’m no suspension expert but I did have Dobinsons and Bilsteins before which I installed myself. First, I think the squeaking is probably more the UCA rubber bushings - try jumping up and down at the front of your car and see if that’s the case.
Also, I don’t think the nuts are TOO loose...

This truck has been garage kept. Driven several times a month and has rarely been on adventures, thus the low miles. When driven, even on trails, it has been babied...
I have KDSS which I believe limits down travel so would you still recommend the "long travel shocks?" I am looking to have a 2.5-3" of front lift. I don't have "extended" anything else and have the coils "C59-352 - 200-240LBS heavy load front weight, 2.25-2.5" lift. 385/385mm, 18mm wire, 730LB"...
I currently have Dobinsons twin valve shocks and coils front and back. With my 730lb front springs (because of full front bumper) it is harsh on cracked and bad roads unfortunately.
Will upgrading to the IMS monotube shocks make things softer?
I also want about an inch more lift up front so...
I have a full CBI front bumper plus winch, which I’m guessing is about 270lbs total. The steel bumper itself is listed at 200lb. Unfortunately, I am hating the stiff ride especially over cracked or bad roads in the city. I suppose this is from the 730lb spring rate.
Coils I have:
Dobinsons...
I took off the front skid (to access the starter.. another story) and notice oil everywhere. The dipstick shows full oil so don’t think it’s been leaking also there was no engine light. Where could this be from? Could it be front differential oil? Or just a loose screw or oil cap.
Well it used to be like $130 shipped I believe. There are other sellers of the Chinese grill but I need to look more into them to make sure they are decent quality (not perfect but at least cartrimhome quality). Maybe the guy can give us a free ship code!
