I've done this + replace the fuel filter. A guy I work with suggested it might be the EGR valve, he said alot of shops could probably tell this with a sniffer?

This is a great site with lots of info, glad to have found it! I also have no clock lights on my '97 4runner, but to go along with that there are no lights for my hvac, are the two problems related?

I thought the v-6 had a timing belt! I have a '97 4runner, does it have a chain or belt?
