Is it any left turn or only hard left? If it's all the way to the stops then it is probably your steering stops. Try greasing them up. My '95 did the same thing when I turned hard left, and I thought the noise was way to horrible sounding to just be the steering stops....but it was just the...
Alright thanks guys. I'm having my mechanic take a took at it next week as I'm skeptical about it being the links. I greased up the steering stops but that didn't change anything.
I have a '95 4runner - when I turn hard left I hear a loud popping noise coming from the front left. A guy at Les Schwab said he thinks the stabilizer links need replacing. Does this sound reasonable? Is it common? How much should I expect to pay for the part?
